Founding ITD & ILC Egypt

In 1977, together with Saba Pasha Habachy, Dr. Takla founded International Legal Consultants Egypt. This organization has played a pivotal role in providing legal services and consulting, marking an important milestone in her professional journey. In 1994, International Trade and Development was established as a sister company to International Legal Consultants, further enhancing their contributions to legal and trade expertise in Egypt.

Dr. Takla has the distinction of being the first female president of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Egyptian People's Assembly. Her pioneering role extended to the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), where she became the first woman to chair a session. She challenges the historical basis for certain restrictive views held by some clerics, citing instances from Islamic history, such as the Prophet Muhammad allowing Najran Christians to pray in his mosque in their own way.
Her message is clear: "Whether you are Christian or Muslim, allow no place in your heart, mind, and conduct for fanaticism, hate, and exclusion." This call for harmony and inclusivity remains a guiding principle in her work.
